work different

International Applicants

Come to a place where you are truly supported through all the challenges that come with starting a life in a new country

We value you for your difference,
just as much as we value what we have in common.

Our senior staff have supported literally hundreds of professionals finding their way in the Australian healthcare & disability sectors, so we know first hand that everyone faces different challenges and have had vastly different experiences, both at uni and in life.

We take an individualised strengths-based approach to development, and we’ll seek to help you discover your own strengths, interests and, hopefully, a love of the work we do. As health professionals we have the opportunity to make a difference for people when they need it most. So when we invest in our staff we also invest in the local community that we love.

We love working in our community and the connection we have to our region.

It’s a beautiful area, right on the doorstep of the Wombat-Lerderderg National Park and an easy trip to Melbourne, Geelong, Daylesford, Ballarat & the Macedon Ranges.

It is also home to a vibrant & diverse community, encompassing one of the most successful multicultural regions in Australia.

Let's talk Visa's & Registration.

At Tandem we have experience sponsoring international applicants for a range of visas to allow them to work in Australia, and continuing to support our staff towards achieving permanent residency. We only partner with reputable migration agencies to make the process as smooth as possible.

In addition we have supervised Physio’s & OT’s on limited registration with AHPRA, and supported Speech Pathologists through the process of becoming a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.

Fun Facts about
Australia.

Australia is amongst the most multicultural nations on Earth

Did you know that more than 30% of Australians were born overseas?

For comparison only 15% of people in the US were born outside the country.

In fact, more than half of Australian residents (51.5% in 2021) were born overseas or have at least one parent born overseas, and over 5.5 million Australians speak a language other than English at home.
Australia is incredibly safe

Australia is known for its safety and security, boasting very low crime rates, stable government, high social cohesion and a well-functioning healthcare system.

Whilst some people may have heard about Australia’s array of snakes and spiders, the reality is much more tame.

In fact, it’s been more than 40 years since anyone died of a spider bite in Australia, while in that same period around 120 people in Britain have died from lightning strikes.
